Parents, please go to your student's class page above and read the message to you about this year and how to get in contact with me if you have any questions.
Welcome back to another exciting school year! This year is all about the mystery of history. In our classes we will become historical detectives trying to figure out who we are, how we got here, and where we stand on the world stage. But most importantly, we'll solve why we should enjoy learning about it all! History is much more than facts and statistics. History can bridge the expanse between us. We are a nation among nations, but how and why? This is the class where we find out. It's going to be an invigorating school year filled with art, literature, stories, and yes, even a little rock n' roll. So welcome... to my webpage, to your classroom, to another year filled with possibility.

Sites from the Antietam Battlefield
LEFT: This is Burnside Bridge, the site of one of the most famous battles during the Civil War. General Ambrose Burnside held the bridge from the Confederate army but lost 500 Union soldiers during the battle. RIGHT: Dunker Church was another very important focal point during the battle at Antietam. It was used as a temporary medical aid station for both sides during the battle.
